William Worcestre Activity


Below is part of Hoefnagle's sixteenth century map of Bristol. On either side are displayed six modern photographs of places on the map with William Worcestre's fifteenth century description of the same place. Try to work out where on the map each place is by selecting one of the numbers (1-6) in the box beneath each picture. You can click any of the pictures to get further information to help you.
When you have all six selected click the submit button at the bottom of the page.
Note: Place 6 is beyond the top (north) edge of the map.
