Over the last year Local Learning have been working with Wildman and Herring and film producers NifD to develop the use of Minecraft as a place-based learning tool.

As part of the Ashton Gatehouse project Ashton Gate Primary School recreated the International Exhibition, or White City, in Minecraft and more recently Local Learning worked with St Barnabas Primary School to recreate Bristol Castle.

In 2017, thanks to Heritage Schools’ funding from Historic England, Local Learning have been back to Ashton Gate to further develop the 1914 White City with Year 5 and local historian, Clive Burlton. Here are the results.
