During 2009 and 2010, the project theme was Wartime Stokes Croft.

The focus for classroom workshops and the end of year heritage trail was a story taken from a local newspaper article about two Canadian servicemen who ran into some trouble with a policeman on Stokes Croft in 1940.

MILL created a radio play about the event.

During the heritage trail MILL interviewed someone who had grown up in the Dighton Street Convent and remembered life there during the war.

Other items of interest featured on these pages include sections taken from the history of the Endowed School on Stokes Croft and stories from the 1940s from members of the Centre for the Deaf.
