Castle Park Learning Resource In July 2009, MILLCIC ran an activity day at Castle Park for children from 14 different primary schools in North Bristol funded by the Gifted and Talented scheme. During the day the Vaulted Chambers, one of the last standing remains of the castle was used as a classroom and the children searched the park for further clues about the castle and its history. This exploration of Bristol Castle included a short trip down the castle Sally Port. The activity day focused on the children developing ideas about how to make the history of the area more visible through art work and better interpretation of the spaces. The children used the clues that they had identified to develop their ideas. |

We will be building on the themes covered during this successful day and hope to be able to provide a similar learning experience for further groups of Bristol school children. | Castle Park Learning Resource |
